J-Church, F-Market collide, injuring 3

A Muni driver and two passengers were injured this morning after a J-Church train ran into an F-Market cable car using the same tracks, according to Muni.

They were both traveling inbound from San Jose Avenue near Highland Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when the J train struck the cable car, according to Muni spokesman Judson True.

It was in an area where the cable car uses the tracks to enter service.

No one was on the cable car except for the driver, according to True.

However, two women on the J-Church reported injuries, according to True.

A fire dispatcher said no one was taken to the hospital.

Muni is providing bus shuttles this morning between 30th Avenue and Balboa Park.
