Impaired driver hits bicyclist in Mission, flees the scene 

A 19-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night after she allegedly hit a bicyclist with her car in the Mission district while under the influence.

The unidentified woman was driving north on Valencia Street near 19th Street around 11:30 p.m. when she veered her car into the bike lane, striking the 30-year-old man on a bicycle and pinning him against a parked van.

The impaired driver then fled the scene.

The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with internal injuries, which are not considered life threatening.

Police located the young woman after the incident and arrested her in connection with the hit and run and for driving under the influence.
