How to get tough on big Wall Street firms

On his very interesting Capitalism Betrayed blog Richard Vigilante responds to my Wednesday Examiner column on financial regulation with some kind words for me and some (in my view) overtoughly tough words for financial regulation committee chairmen Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd. I would not call them, or at least both of them, “bank-whores.” Then he presents his own proposal for tougher financial regulation, which sounds interesting and is very much worth reading. And for a pungent criticism of the Dodd bill, minus the term “bank-whore,” take a look at my American Enterprise Institute colleague Peter Wallison’s latest missive on american.com.
