Hooligan solicits cash, cuts man’s shoulder in San Francisco SoMa attack

A man was sliced on the shoulder with a knife in the South of Market district Tuesday after refusing to donate cash to a down-on-his-luck thug, police said.

The 54-year-old victim was walking in the 900 block of Howard Street, near Eighth Street, when the needy hooligan asked for money around 12:50 a.m.

The suspect, described only as a man in his late 30s, cut the victim before fleeing. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with a laceration to his shoulder, police said.

Nothing was stolen from the victim, police said.
