Honoring fire hydrants used in the 1906 earthquakes and fires

A Painting ceremony to honor the fire hydrants that helped save the Western Addition during the 1906 earthquake and fires was held today. The event was organized by the Guardians of the city. In attendance were the SF Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White, SFPD Chief Greg Suhr as well as members of the community.
