Hillary Clinton to visit Twitter, Facebook and Google today

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to visit Bay Area tech companies Facebook and Twitter today.

Clinton, who is touring to promote "Hard Choices," a book about her work in the Obama administration, will speak at a live-streamed event at Twitter's mid-Market Street headquarters at 5:20 p.m.

Clinton will speak about her book, human rights and domestic policy, according to a blog post by Katie Stanton, Twitter's vice president of global media. A link to the live stream will be available in a pinned tweet at the top of Clinton's Twitter page. Viewers can ask questions using the hashtag #AskHillary on Twitter.

Before the Twitter event, Clinton will participate in a similar Q&A session at Facebook's offices at 2:30 p.m., The Associated Press reported. Clinton tweeted that she would also visit Google today.

Clinton is an early favorite for the Democratic ticket in the 2016 presidential election, according to polling, although she has not announced whether or not she will run.
