Highway 92 blocked by overturned big-rig near Half Moon Bay

An overturned big-rig is partially blocking state Highway 92 in unincorporated San Mateo County near Half Moon Bay on Monday morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

The big-rig, which was carrying a load of soil or gravel, overturned on its side on Highway 92 just west of Skyline Boulevard at about 8:15 a.m., CHP Sgt. John Carman said.

The driver was injured in the crash, and the truck’s load spilled into the westbound lanes, Carman said.

The CHP is directing one-way traffic through the area and there is no estimated time for the roadway to reopen, Carman said.

A travel advisory was issued just before 9 a.m.
