Hearing postponed for alleged Wiesel attacker

Arguments in the preliminary hearing of Eric Hunt, 23, the alleged attacker of Nobel Peace Prize winner and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, were postponed Monday for logistical reasons and further discovery.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers are due back in court Tuesday.

During the first stage of the hearing August 13, Hunt blurted out an apology to Wiesel during Wiesel’s testimony for the prosecution.

Preliminary testimony has ended and lawyers are now due to make their arguments before Judge Harold Kahn.
