Health Commission to meet in Chinatown

Sometimes City Hall goes to the people instead of the people having to go to City Hall.

The Health Commission will hold its upcoming meeting in Chinatown at the Lady Shaw Senior Center, 483 Mason St. The meeting is on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m.

At least once a year the commission likes to hold meetings in a community to address the particular health issues that may affect residents in a given community. Among the meeting’s planned highlights is a discussion about the Department of Public Health’s funded services available to those in District 3, which includes Chinatown and North Beach neighborhoods.
