Grouchy Muni passenger swats driver with cane

This grouchy Muni passenger sure raised cane.

A man was arrested for assault in the Mission district on Tuesday after he belted a Muni driver with his cane, police said.

The 58-year-old suspect was exiting the bus at 16th and Mission streets around 10 p.m. when he got angry at other passengers getting in his way, police said. He started swinging his cane hitting the sides of the bus. He then got off the bus, went to the driver’s window and struck her on the forehead.

Police arrived and took the man into custody. The 45-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for her injuries, which were not life threatening.
