Gov. Jerry Brown to talk economy in San Francisco

Gov. Jerry Brown is coming to town for a discussion on Bay Area economic and political issues. He’s providing the keynote remarks at the Bay Area Council’s 2011 Outlook Conference on April 12.

The lineup of speakers also includes Nobel Laureate Dr. Stanley Prusiner, Director of the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases at UCSF, as well as CEOs and other elected officials to speak about education reform, the future of sports in the Bay Area, the new infrastructure of the 21st century and national politics.

But there was one name conspicuously missing from the meeting agenda, our very own Mayor Ed Lee.

However we’re told by the Bay Area Council that he will be there, nonetheless, making welcoming remarks.
