Google celebrates Pac-Man at 30

Google has unveiled its first interactive logo doodle to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic arcade game Pac-Man. The Java-based game can be played right from the Google homepage by pressing "insert coin" or just waiting a few seconds. (And you can click "insert coin" twice for another surprise from Google's developers.)

Pac-Man debuted on May 22, 1980, in Japan. It was released in the United States in October 1980 and is now listed by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's most successful coin-operated game.
