Good news! Sunshine expected to continue

This time last year, the Bay Area was cloudy and wet with temperatures hovering in the upper 40s. This week’s weather forecast couldn’t be further from that gloomy scenario.

Although no records have been broken, the area is experiencing a warm spell that forecasters say will stick around through the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

More good news from the Examiner:

Monday was likely the warmest day of the week, with temperatures in the low- to mid-70s, forecaster Bob Benjamin of the National Weather Service’s Bay Area office said.

Temperatures are expected to drop five to six degrees over the next few days, Benjamin said, but rain isn’t in the forecast. Sunshine, however, is.
