Golden Thread presents short plays 

Golden Thread Productions’ presents ReOrient. The annual festival of short plays about the Middle East is back for another thought-provoking season.

Featuring five plays that reflect the diversity of the region as well as the urgency with which concerned people must engage it. ReOrient 2007-08 showcases writing by award-winning writers such as Naomi Wallace; admired Iranian poet Simin Behbehani; emerging Bay Area playwright of Filipino background, Ignacio Zulueta and one of today’s most sought after Middle Eastern-American playwrights, Yussef El Guindi.

Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. through Feb. 3 at the Magic Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Buchanan Street and Marina Boulevard, Building D, Third Floor, San Francisco. Tickets are $12 to $25. Call (415) 626-4061 or visit www.goldenthread.org.
