Golden Gate horse stables up for demolition

The Golden Gate horse stables could be days away from demolition -- the permit just has to get through the Planning Department and the Department of Building Inspections first.

Rec and Park approved the first phase of the renovations in September, hoping to start the $177,140 abatement of the grandstand as early December, but the application wasn’t received until Dec. 30.

The $177,140 is a minor chunk of change compared to the overall $14 million project.

Now the Planning Department is considering its approval and will hand it off to the Department of Building Inspection after that.
