Girlfriend of suspect in Bryan Stow beating arrested on drug, weapon charges

The 26-year-old girlfriend of Giovanni Ramirez, the prime suspect in the beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow, was arrested in Las Vegas on methamphetamine and weapon charges, according to CBS2 in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police have been hunting Denise Piccione since Stow’s attack, saying she is a person of interest in the vicious beating. Ramirez remains the prime suspect, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Piccione pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of possession and trafficking meth and for having a dangerous weapon. She was being held on $1,000 bail.

Ramirez is spending a 10-month prison sentence for a parole violation, but has not been charged with beating 42-year-old Stow, who remains at San Francisco General Hospital after suffering severe brain injuries. His condition has improved recently, but it is too soon to tell if he’ll recover, according to his doctors.
