Gingrich to announce whether he’s running for President in Feb. 2011

Examiner columnist Cal Thomas recently interviewed Newt Gingrich and asked the former Speaker of the House about his oft-speculated presidential bid:

Q: When will you announce whether you are running for president?

A: February 2011. You’ll get a brief email that says “yes,” or “no”.

So there you have it. In the meantime, Gingrich also revealed that he’s working with three GOP governors on some policy issues — including Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and Lousiana Governor Bobby Jindal who are also frequently mentioned as presidential/vice-presidential candidates themselves:

Over the weekend I was working with Mitch Daniels on the Amish issue. I have worked with (Mississippi Republican Governor) Haley Barbour on a number of things; I’ve worked with (Louisiana Republican Governor) Bobby Jindal and his team, which may be the most innovative in the country. We’ve also put our people on Capitol Hill.
