Gerber sold 

The famous Gerber Baby will change parents, with Nestle SA announcing it will buy Gerber Products Co. for $5.5 billion, giving the world’s biggest food and drink company the largest share of the global baby food market. Nestle is the worl’d largest manufacturer of infant nutritional products worldwide but until this purchase had no baby food presence in the United States.

AGING OIL TERMINALS

State officials are warning that California’s 34 aging marine oil terminals are an environmental catastrophe in the making. Most were built in the early 1900s, and many are in disrepair and vulnerable to spills and fires, especially if there is an earthquake or other disaster. The state has launched an inventory of the terminals considered most dangerous.
