Gang task force nabs suspect on $1M warrant

The San Francisco Police Gang Task Force made an arrest today on a $1 million robbery warrant. Daniel Dennard, 23, of San Francisco was brought into custody in Daly City at 7 a.m. on three counts of armed robbery, one count of carjacking, one count of an ex-felon with a firearm and one charge of being a member of a criminal street gang, according to police.

Dennard is thought to be a member of the Oakdale Mob and may have been involved in two armed robberies in the Bayview District Sept. 27 and 28.

The arrest was part of a five search warrant operation conducted in connection with the two robberies, which involved the loss of approximately $400 in cash, jewelry and the vehicle that was carjacked.

Kerry Dawson, 21, who is believed to have been Dennard's crime partner, was arrested Sept. 29 and remains in custody.
