Fremont to unveil A’s stadium proposal

A conceptual proposal for a 36,000-seat baseball stadium will be presented to the A’s by Fremont officials, who would build the venue on land owned by New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. Major League Baseball asked Fremont to submit stadium plans while determining whether a suitable site exists. The previous Fremont proposal fell apart a year ago. Oakland has also proposed four waterfront stadium sites to keep the A’s in town.
