Freel ok after collision

Despite a frightening outfield collision that caused a 13-minute delay, Cincinnati Reds center fielder Ryan Freel sustained only bruises on his head and neck. The hard-playing Freel collided with right fielder Norris Hopper in the third inning while making a catch and had to be removed from the field on a stretcher. But tests showed Freel had full use of his extremities.

Body of Patriot found

A third NFL player has died since the end of the regular season after the body of New England Patriots defensive end Marquise Hill was found in a Louisiana lake, an official said. Hill, who played collegiately at LSU, and a female companion were involved in a jet-ski accident on Lake Pontchartrain late Sunday. Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was shot to death on New Year’s Eve and Broncos running back Damien Nash died while playing in a charity basketball game.
