Free wi-fi now available at SFO

There’s finally a reason to show up to the airport early. San Francisco International Airport will now offer free wi-fi service throughout all public spaces at the airport.

Wi-fi has been available before at the airport but at a fee that required users to access through a pay wall. When the contract with the provider ended, according to a statement from the Mayor’s Office, the decision to switch to a free provider was made.

“The San Francisco Bay Area is the world’s high-tech center, and now anyone traveling through SFO can access their e-mail, shop and conduct business on the Airport’s wi-fi service free of charge,” Mayor Gavin Newsom said in a statement.
