  • David Lee was one of four Warriors who were part of the 28-player national team pool announced Thursday.
The U.S. men’s basketball team could have a strong Golden State flavor in the near future.

Four Warriors players — Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee and Andre Iguodala — will be part of the 28-player pool USA Basketball will choose from for the World Cup of Basketball this summer in Spain and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

No other NBA team has more than two players in the pool of players. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski is back to lead the Americans, as he has done since 2005.

NOTE: Banged-up big men Andrew Bogut and Lee remain questionable to play for the Warriors against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. Warriors coach Mark Jackson says both were limited during Thursday’s practice. He won’t announce a decision on whether either will play until today. Bogut strained his right knee and Lee sprained his left shoulder in the fourth quarter of Golden State’s 102-94 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.
