Four arrested in BART robberies

BART police have arrested four men in connection with a string of robberies.

Passengers were held up for iPods, computers, credit cards and cash in two separate crime sprees over the past two weeks, according to BART officials.

One suspect — Donail James, 23, of Oakland — was caught and arrested Nov. 20 at the Montgomery Street BART station.

James was wanted in at least four other robberies at the station. He was arrested on four counts of robbery and one count of possession of stolen property.

In a separate incident on Monday, three men were arrested at the Richmond BART station after surrounding a transit passenger demanding his money and threatening to beat him if he refused.
