Ford, Lee lead Northeastern past Hofstra 58-51 

Quincy Ford and Jonathan Lee each scored 17 points to lead Northeastern to a 58-51 win over Hofstra on Saturday.

The game was close in the first half until the Huskies (11-10, 7-4 Colonial Athletic Association) took control after halftime, surging to a 40-29 lead with 16:11 to play in the game on a jumper by Lee — who went 7 of 9 from the floor. Ford made one of his four 3-pointers with 6:21 left to give Northeastern its largest lead at 12 points.

Reggie Spencer finished with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds for Northeastern, which has won two in a row.

Hofstra (7-16, 1-10) — which played its fifth game in 11 days — struggled against the Huskies' 2-3 zone defense, shooting 29.6 percent (16-54) from the floor. Mike Moore led the Pride with 17 points, and David Imes had 10 points and eight rebounds.
