Flight returns to SFO due to engine problems 

Firefighters were called to San Francisco International Airport on Wednesday afternoon for an incident involving an aircraft.

An American Airlines flight bound for JFK airport in New York had to return to the airport because of engine problems, according to an airport duty manager.

The plane has landed safely and there were no injuries reported, the duty manager said.
