Flat broke: Man changing tire has wallet deflated by thug

As if having a flat wasn’t bad enough. A man was robbed and pistol-whipped while he was changing a tire on his car near Potrero Hill on Wednesday, police said. The 35-year-old was at Evans Avenue and Cesar Chavez Street about 11:50 p.m. when a gun-wielding man in his 40s approached, police said.

The crook took cash from the victim’s wallet and hit him in the head with a handgun, police said. The victim’s injury was not life-threatening, and no arrest has been made.
