Fists of fury fly in San Francisco fights this week 

Roommates fought over clothing, a husband defended his wife and was punched, and an unpaid debt led to a beatdown in San Francisco early this week.

5900 block of Mission Street
Noon Monday

A woman was punched in her face in a spat with a roommate over clothes. The victim called police. The suspect’s defense to cops? She only wanted to challenge her roomie to a fight.

Mission Street and Persia Avenue
1:35 a.m. Monday

Police were told of an attack by three men. The victim refused medical assistance and would not cooperate with police. The cops radioed out a description of the alleged attackers, but no arrest was made.

Unit block of Ney Street
8:55 p.m. Monday

A man trying to defend his wife from an abusive stranger was assaulted. The wife had been chatting with a roommate when an unknown man interrupted and started yelling at her. Her husband intervened and was punched several times.

5300 block of Mission Street
10:35 p.m. Monday

A man playing music at an establishment was attacked by several thugs, possibly over an unpaid debt. The man, who spoke Cantonese, told cops through an interpreter that the thugs threatened to kill his family if he told police.
