Fire truck, Muni bus clip each other's mirrors

A fire truck and a Muni bus knocked each other's mirrors this morning near Bush and Hyde streets.

The fire truck clipped and shattered the rearview mirror on the driver’s side of a stationary 27-Bryant bus around 8:40 a.m., a minor accident, said Muni spokesman Murray Bond.

People on the bus had to get off and wait for the next, and that was the only service disruption, Bond said.

No one was injured.

Then a mechanic came, repaired the mirror and that bus was back in service by 10:20 a.m., he said.

Fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge said, “It was just a little mirror-to-mirror contact.’’
