Report of smoke near Highway 101 in SF causes delays Wednesday

A report of smoke on northbound U.S. Highway 101 north of the Caesar Chavez Street on the right shoulder at 7:47 a.m. caused some traffic delays this morning. No flames were seen and the incident was handed over to the San Francisco Fire Department, according to the California Highway Patrol's San Francisco office.

A three-vehicle, no-injury collision occurred on southbound Interstate 280 near the Serramonte Boulevard offramp at 8:05 a.m.

A hit-and-run involving no injuries occurred at the intersection of Bosworth and Cuvier streets near the Glen Park BART station at 7:58 a.m.

Muni lines 9-San Bruno, 14-Mission, 14X-Mission Express and 71-Haight/Noriega had longer than normal wait times as of 6:33 a.m.
