Finance committee OKs nearly $3M for ongoing legal battle

As The City continues its legal wrangling with Curtis Mitchell, owner of Mitchell Engineering, the legal bills are mounting.

On Wednesday, the Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee approved the release of $2.8 million for a lawsuit over the Fourth Street Bridge project, a construction project completed in 2006. That’s one of several lawsuits pending between The City and Mitchell.

The full board is expected to vote to approve additional litigation spending Tuesday.
