Fight over San Francisco library computer lands man in jail

The book was thrown right back at him.

On Tuesday, police said, a madman used a book as a weapon while trying to boot someone off a public computer at the San Francisco Main Library, leading to his arrest.

The victim told police he was using a computer when a man ordered him to stop. After the victim told the suspect he wasn’t finished, the suspect reportedly became furious, hurling a book at him and then a chair. The chair reportedly injured the victim’s arm.

Security guards intervened and detained the suspect. Not only did witnesses confirm the victim’s account to police, the suspect allegedly gave himself away.

First he claimed, ‘I didn’t throw s*** at that dude!” police said.

But then he said, “Wouldn’t you defend yourself?”

The suspect was booked into County Jail for the assault and for a parole violation, police said.
