Fatal hit-and-run reconstructed

A portion of state Highway 84 was shut down Tuesday so police could reconstruct a November hit-and-run crash that killed a 6-year-old girl.

Lisa Xavier was killed Nov. 12 when an alleged street racer crashed into the car she was riding in with her parents.

Investigators believe the driver who caused the crash was racing another car. No arrests have been made, and police are still looking for a "person of interest" in the case whom they identified in November as 24-year-old Shannon Fox.

Authorities closed all westbound lanes between Marsh Road and University Avenue at 10 a.m. A crash expert reconstructed the accident using Total Station, an electronic measuring system.
