Fallen tree takes down Muni power lines in Haight-Ashbury

A tree roughly 30 feet tall fell Sunday afternoon in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, taking down several Muni power lines, officials said.

Fire crews were dispatched to a report of a tree down at the intersection of Page and Divisadero streets around 2:30 p.m., a fire dispatcher said.

There were no reports of any injuries, and Muni service was not disrupted because the agency was able to reroute service around the fallen tree.

Power was restored at 4:06 p.m., and as of around 4:30 p.m. Muni was running its regular route, agency spokesman Paul Rose said

The Department of Public Works, along with police, are handling the situation, the fire dispatcher said.
