'Factory' works for Sienna Miller

FACTORY GIRL UNCUT

In "Factory Girl," Sienna Miller showed she’s not afraid of emotional, controversial material. She stars as Edie Sedgwick, the muse of pop culture icon Andy Warhol (played brilliantly by Guy Pearce). Miller is convincing, revealing how Sedgwick’s inner demons eventually got the best of her; you really end up feeling for the poor little rich girl, who was hated by many and, ultimately, milked dry emotionally.

The DVD contains an uncut version of the movie and 15 minutes of footage not shown in theaters as well as information about the making of the film, audio commentary and deleted scenes. Price: $28.95. Rent or buy: Great rental; buy if you’re Warhol-obsessed.

THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 UNRATED EDITION

There are many horror remakes floating around; here’s good one that’s actually a remake of a sequel. For the record, the original "Hills Have Eyes" was made in 1977 and its sequel, "The Hills Have Eyes Part II" came out in 1985. This new DVD "The Hills Have Eyes 2" is the sequel to 2006’s "The Hills Have Eyes," which, with its firm R rating, was made for horror fans, rather than for teenagers.

Luckily, the sequel continues the 2006 movie’s "success" with brutal, scary depictions of anew batch of radiated mutants who have a taste for human flesh. This unrated DVD includes even more brutality than what was shown in theaters, plus an alternate ending, deleted scenes and an interview with Wes Craven. Price: $29.98. Rent or buy: A great rental.

PREMONITION

Despite bad reviews from critics, Sandra Bullock keeps cranking out movies that are half-romance, half-thrillers. In "Premonition," she stars as a woman who has a beautiful life -- until she wakes up one day to find that her husband died in a car accident. Or did he? Portraying Bullock’s character alternately as crazy and psychic, the film is strange, unrealistic and irritating. It also has moments that border on religious propaganda. Price: $28.95. Rent or buy: Rent, if that.

GUNSMOKE: THE FIRST SEASON

After a decade of incomplete releases, the longest-running dramatic series in the history of television, "Gunsmoke," finally comes to DVD in a satisfying set. Paramount Home video is releasing a six-disc set that includes every episode (39 in all) of the first season. The set also has four spots from the show’s original sponsors. Price: $42.99. Rent or buy: Buy.

FOYLE'S WAR : SET 4

This original, inventive series from Britain is back with another four-episode arc on four discs. "Foyle's War" follows a modest, quiet detective who investigates crimes in England while World War II rages at home and abroad. Price: $59.99. Rent or buy: Buy.

Other DVDs out this Tuesday: "Perfect Creature," "The Rookies: The Complete First Season," "Voyagers! - The Complete Series," "Esther Williams Collection, Volume 1," "Space Ghost and Dino Boy: The Complete Series," "Wanted: Dead or Alive - Season Two," "Incredible Hulk: The Complete Second Season," "Birdman and the Galaxy Trio: The Complete Series," "Red Dawn Collector's Edition," "Showgirls Fully Exposed Edition," "The Mormons" and "Masters of Horror _ The Black Cat."
