Expect 45-minute delays at SFO

Flights at San Francisco International Airport are expected to be delayed by about 45 minutes Friday due to low ceilings and stormy weather, an airport duty manager said.

A ground-delay program will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., meaning flights will arrive at a reduced rate, duty manager Linda Perry said.

Delays wouldn't occur until delayed flights from the East Coast begin backing up operations in San Francisco, she said.
