Every tourist’s favorite cable car out of service Saturday

It’s a lovely day for a cable car ride but, alas, tourists and hill dwellers waiting at the Powell Street turnaround must wait for another day.

At 8:30 a.m., regular cable car service on the Powell Street portion of the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason cable car lines was disrupted because of a problem with the cable, according to the MTA.
Service isn’t expected to resume until Sunday morning.
But there’s always the shuttle bus, which transports you to a cable car at Powell and Washington streets, where the trek to Fisherman’s Wharf resumes.
