Equilization board chairwoman extends filing deadlines

Betty T. Yee, the chairwoman of the state Board of Equalization, is giving taxpayers in San Francisco a break for paperwork due to the recent batch of storms. With a state of emergency declared last week for the county, Yee is giving extensions for filing, audits, billing notices, assessments and relief from subsequent penalties to individuals and businesses affected by the storms.
