Eli Manning hasn't changed, only playing better

Talk to anyone on the New York Giants about Eli Manning and the word unflappable is bound to come up. Nothing bothers him.

Any doubters should talk to Victor Cruz. Three plays into the season, Cruz dropped a third-down pass and sulked. Manning walked up to him and told him to forget it.

Pro Bowl guard Chris Snee says Manning is the same now as he was when he was the No. 1 pick overall in 2004.

Manning and the Giants (11-7) take on the San Francisco 49ers (14-3) in the NFC title game on Sunday with the winner advancing to Indianapolis for a Super Bowl showdown against either the Patriots or Ravens.

Manning threw for a career-best 4,933 yards and 29 touchdowns this season.
