El Dorado Middle School gets donation

Dice Holdings Inc., a career site for technology and engineering, will donate $10,000 to the school district at El Dorado Middle School on Thursday to help improve math and science education.

In most cases, less than 45 percent of the school’s approximate 275 students test proficient in math or science, according to state scores, and about 65 percent of all the students qualify for free or reduced lunches.

Teachers at El Dorado said they will use the money for math games, a large aquarium and other learning materials.

Dice Holdings will present the check around 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the school at 70 Delta St.
