Education official to visit the Mission District

Those kids at Marshall Elementary School better be brushing up on their civics lesson.

The U.S. Department of Education’s deputy secretary Tony Miller will be in San Francisco on Monday and Tuesday, attending several events.

On Monday morning, he will meet with business group Bay Area Council. A few hours later, he will visit Marshall Elementary on 15th and Mission streets. The following day, he will attend a forum with parent organizations.

No word yet whether he’ll be handing out any pop quizzes.
