Eccentric country star Lynne not slowing down

She’s just announced a San Francisco date – Oct. 18 at the intimate, acoustically-perfect Swedish American Hall. So naturally, our favorite alt-country eccentric Shelby Lynne has some great news to report.

Sure, she kicked ass in 2010 with two full releases on her own EVERSO label – “Tears, Lies And Alibis” (which debuted at #16 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart) and the seasonal “Merry Christmas” followup, issued just in time for the holidays last October. But she isn’t resting on her rustic laurels.

On Oct. 18, Lynne – who long ago traded showbizzy Nashville for the peace and quiet of the California desert - will release another set, the self-recorded-and-produced “Revelation Road.”

“I just wanted to do something that was so damn real – the heartbeat of the song has to come through,” she’s said of the effort.

Its first single, the title track, will be available through iTunes starting Aug. 16. The track listing is: “Revelation Road,” “I’ll Hold Your Head,” “Even Angels,” “Lead Me Love,” “The Thief,” “Woebegone,” “I Want To Go Back,” “I Don’t Need A Reason To Cry,” “Toss It All Aside,” “Heaven’s Only Days Down The Road,” and “I Won’t Leave You.”
