East Coast snowstorm causing delays to outbound SFO flights 

Outbound flights to the East Coast are experiencing delays due to an early snowstorm sweeping through the northeast.

Flights from San Francisco International Airport bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport are experiencing delays between a half hour to two hours, said airport duty manager Bob Rotiski.

So far, about four flights have been affected, Rotiski said.

The airport is not experiencing any arrival delays.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warnings from Washington, D.C., up through Maine.

The New York metro region could get more than a foot of snow.
