DSCC's Menendez takes a break from raking in special interest money to denounce special interest money

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Robert Menendez, D-N.J., rails against the Supreme Court's Citizen's United decision:

The stunning decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission will allow special interests - including the nation's largest corporations - to spend an unlimited amount of money to influence political campaigns, drowning out the voice of the American people and rolling back decades of progress to ensure elections are fair.

As the screen-grab below from OpenSecrets shows, the DSCC receives a very large amount of its money from the legal, financial, health care and insurance industries, to say nothing of the financial and in-kind election aid it already gets from organized labor.

When it comes to big, evil corporations, Menendez doesn't mind taking their money. He just minds the idea of them spending it to promote a message as they see fit.
