Drugstore cowboy hits two pharmacies in SF

Looks like San Francisco has got a drugstore cowboy on the loose. Two pharmacies were robbed at gunpoint of prescription drugs on Thursday, police said.

The first heist took place in the Marina at Walgreens. About 7:20 a.m., a man walked up to the pharmacy counter in the 3200 block of Divisadero Street and pulled out a handgun and demanded drugs, police said.

The 44-year-old female pharmacist behind the counter complied and gave the crook four bottles of medication, police said. The man fled the scene on foot.

About 4:15 p.m., another pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint in the Sunset, police said.

In that case, a man walked into a pharmacy in the 1500 block of Noriega Street and pointed a handgun at the 56-year-old female pharmacist behind the counter and demanded drugs, police said.

The clerk complied and the crook fled the scene. There was little suspect description Friday morning and no arrest has been made.
