A 32-year-old Antioch man was reportedly driving erratically near the intersection of Eighth and Brannan streets about 9 p.m. Wednesday,  police Officer Albie Esparza said.

A police patrol car gave chase, Esparza said, but had to stop for safety reasons.

However, Randall Evans ended up striking a vehicle on northbound Sixth Street, Esparza said. Evans fled from his vehicle but was quickly arrested. Police reportedly found multiple weapons in his car.

A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman who were inside the car Evans allegedly struck were hospitalized with minor injuries, Esparza said.

Evans was booked into jail on multiple weapons charges and an outstanding warrant.
