DPW to conduct early morning cleaning inspections

Residents living on some of San Francisco’s busiest streets will soon be treated to extra cleaning efforts, extra early.

As part of the Department of Public Works’ “Spruce Up by Sun Up” campaign, 300 of The City’s main corridors will be subjected to early morning cleaning inspections. DPW workers will conduct visits at dawn to ensure that city ordinances effecting quality-of-life issues are being duly enforced.

The program begins Sept. 7, with the Church Street corridor the first area to be subjected to the new inspections. The program will continue until the end of February.
