Double one-man-show at the Marsh 

A double bill of Joseph Keckler’s "Cat Lady" and La JohnJoseph’s "Notorious Beauty" plays one night only, Sunday at 8 pm at The Marsh San Francisco.

Keckler is a writer, opera singer and multi-media performance artist and British-born La John Joseph is a fledgling star, essayist and former model.

"Cat Lady" focuses on a storyteller who narrates an afternoon in the home of his mother, who has created a psychological theater, of sorts, where cats are the actors. Past lives are recalled, songs are sung and finally a trip to the vet’s is made in this humorous and dark exploration of the relationship between art and trauma.

"Notorious Beauty" is a journey in no particular order — down fashion runways, through the housing projects and across the pond told through a conflation of remembered dialogue, dreams, lip synchs and telephone calls.
