Dog is all bark but no bite, dog’s owners, not so much

A 56-year-old man was allegedly stabbed in the shoulder and neck during a spat over a barking dog in the Outer Sunset district on Sunday, police said.

The stabbing occurred at Great Highway and Pacheco Street around 6:20 p.m.

The victim had been arguing with a juvenile and a 19-year-old woman about their barking dog, police said. The juvenile allegedly “punched and stabbed” the man. The woman joined in, punching him several times, police said.

He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with puncture wounds to his shoulder and neck. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening. While both suspects fled, the 19-year-old was later taken into custody, police said Monday.

The search continues for the juvenile.
