Dog injured in Mission district shooting

A powerless pooch was the victim of a shooting at 26th and Harrison streets Wednesday night, police said.

A gunman opened fire on three people in a vehicle around 10:20 p.m., and while the bullets did not hit anyone, glass from a shattered window sliced a dog that was inside the car, police said. The dog suffered “superficial injuries,” they said.

There was no arrest in the case, police said. The suspect was described only as a teenager.
